Bonnie Ferri is the vice provost for Graduate and Postdoctoral Education at Georgia Tech, and a professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE). Dr. Ferri previously was the vice provost for Graduate Education and Faculty Development and held associate chair positions in ECE, both for undergraduate and for graduate studies.

As the Assistant Director for Advocacy and Conflict Resolution within the Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Education, David V. Anderson provides assistance to graduate students and postdocs in solving problems and resolving conflicts related to research and to academic administrative offices and actions. He works with all appropriate parties to address issues, provide training as appropriate, and identify trends and opportunities to improve the graduate student and postdoctoral experience.

Assistant Director of Postdoctoral Services

As assistant director of postdoctoral services, Karena Nguyen builds community through social and academic events and develops career and professional development programming for postdocs. Nguyen has volunteered with and led committees through organizations such as the National Postdoctoral Association, the Graduate Career Consortium, and the POD Network. She is currently serving as a member of the National Postdoctoral Association’s Board of Directors and is a co-chair of the Employee Engagement and Culture Council within Georgia Tech's Office of the Provost.

Director of Strategic Operations

As the Director of Strategic Operations within the Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Education (GPE), Jaydale Codrington-Poyotte manages personnel support, space and equipment management, budgets and financial planning, project management, and strategic planning. She recently completed a Project Management certification that will help GPE keep on track in pursuing their contributions to the Institute Strategic Plan.

Jana Stone is assistant vice provost for professional development and director of Postdoctoral Services within the Office of the Vice Provost for Graduate and Postdoctoral Education at Georgia Tech. Stone manages a team that includes graduate career advising, the Graduate Internship Program, and Postdoctoral Services. She also oversaw the creation of the Office of Faculty Professional Development in 2020-2021. Stone has been at Georgia Tech since 2013, when she was hired to establish the Office of Postdoctoral Services.

As the Director of Graduate Career Development, Gaeun (Gwenn) Seo provides leadership for the career development of Master’s and Ph.D. students. Dr. Seo develops and scales strategic opportunities and programs to empower graduate students to enhance their career and professional development, identify career paths, and secure internships, with the goal of finding career success upon graduation. She also oversees the Graduate Internship Program.

James Black is a Senior Academic Professional and the Executive Director of Graduate Student Success in the Office of Graduate Education. In this role, he provides strategic leadership for initiatives that enhance the graduate student experience and oversees a portfolio of services supporting the Institute’s nearly 34,000 master’s and doctoral students. These services include Institute-level orientation and onboarding, graduate student hiring, fellowship administration, thesis and dissertation processing, and the new graduate advising platform Navigate360.
